In Loving Memory
November 3, 1952 – February 13, 2015
Mr. William Jerome Roberts, Jr., 62, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015, at Joyce Goldenberg hospice in Pensacola, Florida. Jerome was a loving husband and father, and a friend of many. Jerome proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Jerome spent his spare time fishing, walking the beach, spending time with the people he loved, and enjoying life. Before getting sick, Jerome was an active member of Cornerstone Church in Stapleton, Alabama. Jerome professed to have a personal relationship with Christ and knew him as his Savior. Jerome loved God, and strived to share the love of God with other people and always put the needs of others before his own.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, his son William Jerome, III, his brothers, Charlie (Svetlana) and George (Sharon) Roberts; his sisters, Alice (Tim) Muller, and Theresa Roberts-Wall; his nieces and nephews, Chaz and Haley Roberts, Laura, Alana, Kyle, and Daniel Davis, and Courtland Dubose; his best friend, Bill Fisher. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Cornerstone Church, 35200 State Hwy. 59 in Stapleton, AL. Expressions of condolences may be offered at hughesfh.com. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home & Crematory, 7951 American Way, Daphne, AL.
