In Loving Memory
October 8, 2013 – December 15, 2013
Walter Eugene Quinley, Jr., 68, of Daphne, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013. He was a retired machine operator from Kimberly-Clark with thirty-one years of service. Not only was Dickey an avid reader, but he was a skilled craftsman who could build or repair anything, a real jack of all trades. He loved his family and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, “Pop,” and friend.
Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Ann Wiggins Quinley; two daughters, Kimberly Ann (Steve) Mullins and Kerry Quinley (Ken) Wallace; three grandsons, Cole and Luke Mullins and Hudson Wallace; and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends to celebrate Dickey’s life Thursday evening, December 19, 2013, from 5:30 until 7:30 pm at Hughes Funeral Home. Abiding by Dickey’s desire, his body was given for medical research. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to The Friends of the Daphne Public Library, P. O. Drawer 1225, Daphne, AL 36526. Notes of condolence may be expressed at hughesfh.com. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home & Crematory, 7951 American Way, Daphne, AL.
