June 13, 1949 – May 17, 2010 In Loving Memory.
Sylvia “Lou-Lou” Louise Johnson, age 61, born in Monroeville and a resident of Uriah, died on Monday, May 17, 2010. She had worked as an LPN at Oakwood Nursing Home in Bay Minette.
Lou-Lou was a loving mother who cared the most about her family. She also was an amazing baker and well known for her red velvet cakes and her beautiful rose gardens. Filled with so much love, she was a kind and caring person who saw the good in everybody and treated them as her own. Some have said, “she loved hard”.
She is survived by her daughters, Marie Ammons (Jeff) Ives of Stapleton and Jennifer(Billy) Joiner of Bay Minette; her sisters, Frances (Curtis) Phillips and Dora Ann Crutchfield, both of Stapleton; her brothers, Johnny Williams of Stapleton and Fred (Rose) Brooks of Frisco City; and her grandchildren, Christopher Ammons, Joe Hadley, Laker Ives and Noble Joiner.
A celebration of life for “Lou-Lou” will be held on Thursday evening, May 27, 2010 at 6:00pm at Providence Baptist Church, Rabun, AL where the family will receive friends at 5:00pm.
Officiating will be Rev. Ron McGhee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
