Roger D. “Buster” Baggett, 64, current resident of Bay Minette passed away on Tuesday, November, 13, 2012 in a local hospital. Buster was born in Atmore and was raised in Perdido. While in Sacramento, CA, he joined the US Navy and later met his wife, Margaret in Spain. They married in Gibraltar in 1972. While stationed in Memphis, he continued his education receiving his BS in Engineering. After retiring from the Navy, he worked in the shipbuilding industry as a logistics engineer. He is preceded in death by his paternal parents.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret M. Baggett, Duntocher, Scotland; his daughter, Melissa Claire Baggett, Duntocher, Scotland; his brother, Joey and Kathryn “Bit” White of Bay Minette; five sisters, Elsie “Pug” and Mike Jones of Bay Minette, Susan and Pete Hadley of Splinter Hill, AL, Evelyn “Beth” Donald of Nokomis, AL, Cheryl Ann Silva of Boston, MA, Mary Ellen and Jeff Flannery of Boston, MA; his father, Hilburn White of Splinter Hill, Al, and very good friends, Bob and Catherine Baker of Duntocher, Scotland; many other nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Buster’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Splinter Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church, 54637 Splinter Hill Rd. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon until time of service. Officiating will be Pastor Casey White. Inurnment will be in White Cemetery.
