Mike Plotniak, age 54, born in Poland and a resident of Stapleton, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 17, 2008.

Mike came to America in 1965 and was a veteran of the US Army. He was employed by Freese Trucking and was a member of Gateway Tabernacle Church in Bay Minette.

Survivors include his two sons, Joshua and Cody Plotniak of Rosinton, AL; his mother, Gabriela Sowa of Palm Harbor, FL; two sisters, Elizabeth (Pedro) Bravo of Manchester, CT and Donna (Michael) Peach of Lansing, KS and a brother, Richard (Czeslawa) Plotniak of Palm Harbor, FL.

A memorial service was held at 6 PM Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Gateway Tabernacle Church with Pastor Mitchell Herrin officiating. He will be buried later in Connecticut.
