Maude Etta Timbes, age 93 and a resident of Montrose since 1949, died Friday, January 4, 2008 at a local healthcare facility.
Mrs. Timbes was a founding
member of Theater 98 in Fairhope and one of the founders of the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival. She was also a charter member of the Montrose Garden Club, and she was accomplished artist, actress, and writer.
She was the widow of the late Morris W. Timbes, founder of Timbes and Yeager, the very first advertising firm in Alabama.
She is the beloved Mother of a son, Graham (Maggie) Timbes of Montrose, 2 daughters, Billye Timbes of Montrose and Mary Lois Timbes Adshead of Hoboken, New Jersey. She has 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Private burial will be in Pine
