February 13, 1932 – May 5, 2013 In Loving Memory.
Mary Frances Farmer, 81, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a recent resident of Daphne, went to join The Lord on Sunday, May 5, 2013 in Fairhope.
Mrs. Farmer (“Mimi”) was born in Bloomfield, NJ and retired in 1997 from the US Postal Service with 29 plus years of service as a sorting machine operator. She was formerly of Richmond, VA and Indianapolis, IN.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Mary Rhodes, her husband, Jimmy T. Farmer and her son, Glenn T. Farmer.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Farmer (Christopher) Switalski of Daphne, AL; son, David Myron (Jennifer) Farmer of Melbourne, FL; three grandchildren, Bennett Farmer and Brooke Farmer of Melbourne and John T. Farmer and his mother, Brenda Farmer of Lebanon, IN; three great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Rhodes Davis of Burlington, KY and her daughter, Lynn C. Davis of Florence, KY.
Mimi loved being with her family, reading, shopping and dogs of all sorts. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
A memorial service to remember Mrs. Farmer will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Hughes Funeral Home in Daphne, AL with Fr. Travis Burnett officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am.
