Marvin Edward Raines, an 82 year-old native of Molino, FL, and longtime resident of Marengo County, AL currently residing in Point Clear, AL, passed away December 21, 2013. He was a former employee of James River Corporation at Naheola, AL.
 
Mr. Raines enjoyed a lengthy retirement and enjoyed many of his passions with his beloved wife of 49 years.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Raines, his parents, Martin Ivey and Annie Murphy Raines, sister Marge Hubbard and brother Bill Raines.
 
 Mr. Raines is survived by his sister, Joan (Jamie) Cook, sons, Craig (DeeDee) Raines and Miguel de Llacer, grandchildren, Ralph Jenkins, Lauren Raines, Sophie Raines, Candace (Daniel) Moody and Blake de Llacer, great-granddaughter, Lilly Moody and other relatives and friends. A graveside service for Mr. Raines will be held at Nanafalia Baptist Cemetery in Nanafalia, AL, 11:00am, December 26, 2013.  Expressions of condolence may be made at hughesfh.com.  Funeral Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home & Crematory, 7951 American Way, Daphne, AL.

    I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Marvin’s death. My prayers are with the family at this very sad time. I am glad I had the chance to get to know Mr. Marvin and Ms. Ruth. They will be missed by any one who knew them.
