August 16, 1928 – January 6, 2010 In Loving Memory.
Malcolm “Sonny” Evans, age 81, died January 6, 2009 in Montrose.
He was the son of Ollie Beasley and Victor Bleu Evans of Union Springs, Alabama. His
brothers, Victor and Johnny, are deceased. He is survived by his son, Tory E. Evans, two nieces, Jackie Frodsham and Ella Evans and several cousins.
His cousin, Cecelia Meggs gave him special support in his last years.
Mr. Evans was a Navy veteran, an employee at the Veterans Hospital in New Orleans, and worked in Japan for the Civil Service.
He will be remembered for his love of beauty and his ability to bring laughter to others and
brighten spirits. His passions were dancing, flowers, and travel. He never said no to a stray cat or dog looking for a home.
The family would like to express deep appreciation for the loving and excellent care provided Mr. Evans at Montrose Health Care Center. We are grateful for the Wiregrass Hospice volunteers being his special friends.
The memorial service will be Saturday, March 20 (the first day of Spring) 2010 at 3:00 PM at Memory Gardens of Fairhope Cemetery.
