Judy Marie Maddux, age 81, born in Opp, Alabama and a resident of Fairhope for several years, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at a local healthcare facility.

Judy attended Bay Community Church and enjoyed many hobbies including painting, shopping, cooking with her kids and grandchildren, photography and talking on the computer with her sisters. She loved gardening, growing flowers and possessed a true green thumb.

Survivors include her husband, Donald F. Maddux of Fairhope; her daughter, Kay (Stan) Robertson of Daphne and her family, granddaughter, Tonia Kay Powell of Fairhope and great grandchildren, Richard Anthony Cobb and Brianna Kay Powell; her son, Danny Keith (Karen) Ayers of Huntsville and granddaughters, Ann and Merridith Ayers; her sisters, Mary Charles (Charles) Yancey of Opp, AL and LaNora (Bernard) Martin of Florala, AL; step son, David (Cindy) Maddux of Foley; step daughters, Patti Cufero of Braden, FL, Evelyn Smith of Tallahassee, FL and Carolyn Luthi of Clarksville, GA and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Bay Community Church in Historic Malbis with interment to follow at 3:30 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1 pm.
