James Jerry Aplin, 70, born in Mobile and resident of Bay Minette, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in a local hospital. He was a graduate of Mobile College and worked for many years until retiring from the McDuffie Coal Terminal where he worked as a foreman. Some of his favorite things were Christmas tree farming and raising his Polled Hereford cattle.
Surviving are his daughter, Paige Aplin of Stockton; two sons, Todd (Cheryl) Aplin of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Erik and Monica Aplin of Bay Minette; the mother of his children, Donna Aplin of Stockton; six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A celebration of James’ life will be held at 4:00pm, Sunday, October 28, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church of Bay Minette. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Spicer.
