June 19, 1929 – January 24, 2011 In Loving Memory.
Grady Isaiah Smelley, 81, a native of Dale County and resident of Baldwin County for over 21 years, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 24, 2011, in a local hospital.

He was formerly of Hueytown, AL for over 20 years and employed for 30 years by OK Tire and Battery in Bessemer.

He also owned and operated Bon Secour Tire & Auto Services for 14 years.

Mr. Smelley loved gardening and fishing and attending church where he was a member of Robertsdale Church of God of Prophecy.

Mr. Smelley is predeceased by his daughter, Donna Jean Lawley and a grandson, Brandon Lawley.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donnie A. Smelly, Daphne; his son, Jeff (Sherri) Smelley, Daphne; 4 grandchildren, Selena Lawley, John(Allie) Smelley, Joey Smelley, and Katie Smelley; 3 great grandchildren, Kristen Lawley (her fianc?e, Justin Sowell), Jordan Bibb, and Riley Smelley; 1 great great grandson, Clayton Sowell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the Woodland Hills Church of God of Prophecy in Bessemer, Alabama with visitation at 10:00am. Rev. Eugene Weakley and

Rev. Paul E. Johnson will be officiating.

Interment will be at Highland Memorial Gardens.

A visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Hughes Cremation & Funeral Service in Daphne.
