Glenn Wayne Fortner, age 66, of Fairhope, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Glenn was born in Mobile and had worked as a sheet metal mechanic in the commercial building industry.
He was a member of Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church and was an amazing man who loved his Lord and lived life to the fullest.
Survivors include his wife, Deb Fortner; two daughters, Melinda Sayre and Glenda Patrick both of Mobile; two sisters, Rebecca (Stephen) Salonsky of Fairhope and Gail (Ronnie) Lott of Mobile; five beloved grandchildren; two step-daughters, Sarah and Kate Wilson of Loxley and many other relatives and friends.
A graveside service followed by interment will be at 11 am Monday, June 25, 2011 at Brook-Cedron Cemetery with Rev. James W. Hill officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church for the Glenn Fortner Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 1086, Fairhope, 36533.
