Clay ‘Paddy’ Porter Rouse,79 of Mobile, died Friday, December 21, 2012 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.
Paddy graduated from Murphy High School in 1950. She was a former employee of Alabama Dry Dock and Shipbuilding Company, The USS Alabama Battleship, The Mobile Chamber of Commerce and Sun Microsystems. Paddy was an active member of a Ladies Mardi Gras Society where she served on the Board as well as Reigned as Leader and was also a member of the Past Presidents. A member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Paddy enjoyed dancing, gardening and playing Bridge.
Survivors include her husband, Patrick F. Rouse, Sr. of Mobile; two sons, Patrick ‘Rick’ F. Rouse, Jr. and his wife, Celeste R. Rouse of Hebron, KY; Clay R. Rouse, Sr. and his wife, Ginger P. Rouse of Satsuma; and one daughter, Lynn Rouse Matthews and her husband, James ‘Jimmy’ O. Matthews of Mobile; five grandchildren, Brittney L. Rouse, Clay “C.J.” R. Rouse, Jr., Robert Christopher Matthews and his wife, Alicia ‘Lisa’ Manley Matthews, Alexa R. Bennett, Michaela C. Arsenault and her husband, Cody W. Arsenault; four great grandchildren, Robert Cain Matthews, Cooper McGowan Matthews, Brody G. Bennett and Maci B. Arsenault, and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The American Cancer Society.
