Carl Morgan Adams, Jr., age 72, of Fairhope, AL died peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2013. Carl was born in Macon, Georgia and received his B.S. in Business from Stetson University. Carl had a distinguished career in Real Estate as a Mortgage Banker, Real Estate Developer and Appraiser.
Carl spent much of his childhood and adult life in Lake County where he served two terms on the Mount Dora City Council and a term as president of the Rotary Club of Mount Dora. A member of the Appraisal Institute since 1978, he appraised over 8,000 parcels in Lake County over his career. He was a member of the Lake County Association of Realtors and was an adjunct faculty member at Lake Sumter Community College teaching real estate classes. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Dora and later the First Presbyterian Church of Mount Dora.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents Carl M. Adams, Sr. & Emily Harmon Adams and by a daughter, Bettina Love Adams. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betsy; two sons, Carl Morgan Adams, III (Adam) and his wife, Laura and Rupert Bradley Adams and his wife, Laura and three granddaughters, Caroline, Emily and Sarah and other relatives and friends.
