Patsy Jean Aikens Hare Bennett, widow of Joseph Bennett, passed from this life to be with the Lord on Friday, December 19, 2014.  Pat was born in Mobile to Jimmy and Evelyn Aikens.  She graduated from Murphy High School.  She was married to Joe for 45 years.  The majority of their lifetime was spent in Pascagoula where they both worked at Ingalls Shipyard. Pat will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, caring heart and her love for family.

Survivors include her son, Bradley Daniel Hare; daughter-in-law, Terri; and step-son, David Bennett; grandchildren, Hayes and Haley Hare; brother, Jimmy (Mel) Aikens, Jr.; sister, Evelyn Young (Larry ) Bowman and other relatives and friends.  She has been the best, most loving Mom, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother and aunt anyone could ever know.  Pat adored Hayes and Haley and spent so much time with them, loving, teaching and guiding them.  The love given by this precious lady is beyond words, and it is so evident, just ask her grandkids!  Pat will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews who she loved like her own.  The memories run deep. Her life truly showed the love of Christ.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Jubilee Baptist Church in Daphne beginning at 10 am followed by the funeral service at 11 am.  Dr. Paul Matthews will officiate.  Graveside services and interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, AL at 12:30 pm.

Online condolences for the family may be made at hughesfh.com.  Funeral arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home, 7951 American Way, Daphne, AL.
