Thomas Lee Hadaway, age 91, was a native of Birmingham, AL. He spent his childhood in Toptin, AL before moving to Mobile and graduating from Murphy High School.  After serving in the U.S. Army-Air Corps (WWII) he was a Federal Civil Service worker for the Defense Department (DCAS) assuring QC for the US Air Force and NASA. These positions took him from Mobile to Chateauroux, France; Sacramento, CA; Crestview, FL; Greenville, SC and New Orleans. After retiring and moving back to Crestview, FL, he continued to enjoy traveling, gardening and becoming a master bridge player with his devoted wife of 57 years.  Mr. Hadaway moved to Fairhope, AL in 2006 and enjoyed being close to his family, playing bridge at the Nix Center and participating in the various activities of Shepherd’s Place at Fairhope United Methodist Church.

 Mr. Hadaway is predeceased by his wife, Joyce Gilbert Hadaway.

He is survived by one daughter, Iris Buck (Terry) of Fairhope; two sons, Gary Hadaway of Mobile and Brian Hadaway (Deborah) of Slidell, LA; daughter in law, Marcia Hadaway; one grandson, Jason Buck (Tiffany); two granddaughters, Lora Buck and Kristi Hadaway; four great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

A committal service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 AL Highway 225, Spanish Fort, AL 36577. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Shepherd’s Place, Fairhope United Methodist Church, 155 S. Section Street, Fairhope, AL 36532.
