Terry Redfearn, 72, beloved husband, father, papa, mentor and friend, lost his hard fought battle with brain cancer and went to be with his Lord on March 6, 2013. He was a Georgia native and a 34-year resident of Daphne, Alabama. He was a proud graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1964, and always rooted for his beloved Yellow Jackets. He had a distinguished career as an engineer for Moore Products Company over 25 years.
He was a founding member of the Jubilee Baptist Church, where he was the most tenured Sunday School teacher and also served as a Deacon, touching many lives.
In retirement, he had many charitable pursuits, and served as President of the Baldwin County Trailblazers, where he diligently pursued grants for bike trails and sidewalks throughout Baldwin County.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Alma Redfearn, and his sister, Eva Jane Dobson.
He is survived by Mary, his beloved wife of 50 years, his daughter Regina Boone (husband Randy) of Fairhope, Alabama, and his son Kyle Redfearn (wife Elizabeth) of Tallahassee, Florida; along with his grandchildren, Merideth Landry, Mobile, Chase Landry, Witchita, Kansas and Jackson Redfearn, Tallahasses, Florida; brother, Wayne Redfearn (wife Beverly) of Atlanta and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 9, 2013, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Jubilee Baptist Church, 9264 Pleasant Road, Daphne, Alabama 36526. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 10, 2013 in the main chapel of Jubilee Baptist Church. Interment will be in Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
