December 3, 1942 – February 23, 2012 In Loving Memory.
Stan F. Mize, 69, a resident of, Summerdale, Alabama, went home to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 22, 2012
Stan was born in Ben Lomand, Arkansas on December 3, 1942. He served his country in Vietnam in the US Air Force, Special Forces.
Stan received a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. Upon graduation he was employed by Herman Blum Consulting Engineers.
Stan was a wonderful husband, dad, brother and uncle who will be dearly missed.
Stan is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Catherine Mize.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Stephanie Mize, Summerdale; his sons, Jay (Valerie) Mize, Meridian, MS and Tim (Andrea) Mize, Tupelo, MS; two grandchildren, Alexander and Andrew; one sister, Linda Corkins, Weatherford, TX; two sister-in-laws Janet Godwin and Barbara Hinton; mother-in-law, Julie Mathieu; niece, Tonya Kaiser and two great nephews, Ronnie Hughes and Wesley Mitchell.
A memorial service to honor Stan’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Fairhope United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike McKnight officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Shepherd’s Place at Fairhope United Methodist Church.
