In Loving Memory
December 21, 1947 – November 1, 2013
Ray Douglas Hartwell, 65, a native of Mobile and resident of Daphne, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013 at his home.
Ray was a graduate of the University of South Alabama and a charter member of the Gamma Phi Chapter of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He was a past member of Buccaneer Yacht Club. He worked in the beer business for forty years until he retired from Budweiser-Busch Distributing. He is predeceased by his mother, Marion Ann Hartwell.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Crew Hartwell, Daphne; his father, Ray Brown Hartwell, Fairhope; two sons, Oliver Scott Hartwell (Ann), Daphne and William Alan Ishee, Daphne; two daughters, Karen Ann Parsons (Kip), Birmingham, Bailey Kathleen Hartwell, Fairhope; two brothers, Tommy Kent Hartwell, Daphne and Terry Joel Hartwell, Maryville, TN; three grandchildren, Jack Parsons, Nathaniel Douglas Hartwell and Lucy Claire Hartwell; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Ray’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00am.
