Mynelle B. Mattingly, age 74, born in Atmore, Alabama and a resident of Montrose, died Wed. July 16, 2008.

Mrs. Mattingly had worked as a registered nurse and was an instructor for registered nurse students at Southwest State College in Mobile. She was a graduate of Fairhope high School, Class of 1951 where she was class president.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil A. Mattingly and is survived by 2 daughters, Sarah (Chuck) Nordstrom of Robertsdale and Cecilia (Kendall) Meggs of Spanish Fort. She has 5 grandchildren, Jayson, Jessica and Jude Owens and Brynn and Mason Davis and 3 great grandchildren, Lauren and Xander Owens and Madelyn Lyons and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 9:00 AM Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Memory Gardens of Fairhope with Rev. Glenn McCall officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
