Marrion Johnson, Sr., 83, born in Plateau in Mobile and a resident of Daphne, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 6, 2010.
He was an active member of Little Bethel Baptist Church and was employed by Wm. Meadows, a food distribution company. He retired after 40 years where he worked as a forklift operator in the warehouse.
Preceding him in death is his wife, Ruby Pearl Johnson.
He is survived by his daughters, Ida Maxine (James) McCants, Fairhope; Inez Marie Young, Mobile, Darlene (Roy) Pryear, Fairhope; Sarah Jane Johnson, Daphne; Sons, Marion E. (Renee) Johnson, Jr., Atlanta, GA and Martin (Jacalyn) Johnson, Mobile; sister, Zetta Mae Magee, Daphne; brother in law, Robert (Vernice) Kirksey; paternal brothers, Floyd Craig, Miles Craig, Alfonso Craig, all of Mobile and Henry Craig, Chicago, IL; 6 devoted grandchildren, Erica Monique Johnson, Douglas Lott, III, Charles Johnson, Senior Douglas, Ashley Kimberly McCants and Chynna Pryear; a host of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Little Bethel Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00am. Officiating will be Rev. Donald Parker and music by Mrs. Mary Nero. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
