November 7, 1950 – February 18, 2011 In Loving Memory.
Kenneth Lane Vines, 60, affectionately known as “KV”, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2011, after sustaining a head injury due to a fall.

Born in Prichard, Alabama and raised in Perdido, Alabama, he resided in Orange Beach, Alabama for more than thirty years. The owner and operator of KV Yacht Brokerage he was a lively figure on the docks of local marinas, boat launches and waterways. He was a founding member of the Elberta Sausage Festival and the Orange Beach Seafood Festival. An avid sport fishing enthusiast, he was a member of the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club, Pensacola Big Game Fishing Club, The Billfish Foundation, Coastal Conservation Association, and the Orange Beach Sport Fishing Club. His dedication to our coastal community and the families that make Orange Beach a great place to live will be remembered and cherished forever.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Vines, his daughter, Lane L. Vines and his son, Harrison W. Vines all of Orange Beach; his brothers, Erskine Vines, Jr. of Perdido, AL, Howell D. (Wayne) Vines of Stockton, AL and his sister, Charlotte Vines Krajniah of Onondaga, MI

A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2011 at St. Thomas by the Sea Catholic Church, 26547 Perdido Beach Blvd., Orange Beach, AL 36561.

A reception follows in the church parish hall. The family would welcome photos to be placed in a scrapbook.
