March 6, 1951 – March 2, 2015
Jerry Michael Kopcho, 63, died March 2, 2015. A current resident of Fairhope, Alabama, Jerry was born in Elyria Ohio to the late Bert and Beverly Kopcho. He was employed for 37 years with Texas Fuel& Asphalt in Corpus Christi, TX; Mobile, AL and with Valero Refining in Baton Rouge, LA.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Carolyn Walker Kopcho; daughter, Mary K. (Matt) Denton of Spanish Fort, AL; sister, Jill Kopcho (Gary) Biltz of Gray, GA; brother, John (Christine) Kopcho of Elyria, OH and by other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 8271 Whispering Pines Rd., Daphne, AL 36526. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30pm. Pastor Matt Denton will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at kidney.org. Inurnment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, VA. Expressions of condolence may be offered at www.hughesfh.com. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home& Crematory, 7951 American Way, Daphne, AL 36526.

So sorry to hear about Jerry’s passing. So many days, I think of all the good times we had working on the road. Jerry was always fun to be around and l learned a lot from him. Even though we haven’t seen each other in a long time, he was never forgotten. God bless you and your family.

Jerry was a childhood friend of mine in Elyria. We were in the same class from First through 6th grade (I think!) He and his family were/are great people. My brother was a good friend of John’s. Sympathy to the entire family and prayers for strength.

I lived next to Jerry, John and Jill growing up on Harvard Ave. in Elyria. Good memories as our houses were so very close. RIP

Carolyn and Mary sorry for the passing of Jerry I just found out. The last time I saw him was in Corpas at your house and I said something to u that I shouldn’t of said and I wanted to apologize to u Jerry and I had a lot of fun and good times together in Ft Lauderdale.
