April 28, 1925 – March 2, 2012 In Loving Memory.
J. Edgar Moser, Jr., born in St. Louis, MO, April 28, 1925 died peacefully on Friday, March 2,2012, surrounded by family and friends at Westminster Village in Spanish Fort, AL. Ed was a decorated WWII Veteran, a devoted husband, a loving companion to Pat Brislin and a great father. He was our Hero. He set the bar for being a true gentleman, friend, and provider. He believed in being a part of his local community. When he wasn’t playing tennis he was either welcoming people to Westminster, playing cards, at Rotary Club or at a Library Board meeting. He was an active member of the Episcopal Church and was on the Vestry.
Ed was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 61 years, Esther Dill Moser.
Surviving are two sons, Ed (Kerrie) Moser and Bill (Sarah) Moser, a daughter, deLancey (Ben) Erickson; six grandchildren, Bill (Tina) Erickson, Ashely (James) Query, Ben (Beth) Erickson, Allen Moser, deLancey Moser, John E Moser and great grandchildren _ Siddah, Will, and Emma.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Daphne, AL. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church , the Eastern Shore Literacy Council, The Boy Scouts of America, or your favorite charity. Notes of condolence may be shared with the family at hughesfh.com. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home & Crematory, Daphne, AL.
