March 20, 1952 – August 21, 2009 In Loving Memory.
Charles Haywood Brown, age 57, born in Fairhope and a resident of White House Fork, died Friday, August 21, 2009 after a brief illness.

Haywood was a member of Bromley Baptist Church and a 1971 graduate of Baldwin County High School where he was inducted into the BCHS Football Hall of Fame in October 2008. He retired with 30 years of dedicated service from the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park and was known as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Haywood was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin L. and Irma Broughton Brown and by a brother, Richard Brown.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Tammy Lynn Brown; a son, Michael A. Skirvin; two daughters, Andrea E. Brown and Angela Louise Brown; two grandsons, Anthony Skirvin and Mayson Skirvin; a brother, Raymond (Shirley) Brown all of White House Fork and by many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Bromley Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday, August 24, 2009 from 6 pm until 9 pm and one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Johnson Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park or to Bromley Baptist Church.
