Harry Glenn “The Barber” Madison, Jr. departed this life at his home in Spanish Fort for his eternal home on Thursday, February 16, 2012.
He was born on November 12, 1942. He invited Jesus into his life at the age of 42 and loved life because he walked with the giver of Life – Jesus!
Harry was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard for over 20 years; retiring with rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was a well-loved barber with Old Spanish Fort Trail Barber Shop for the past 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Unelma. He is survived by his wife Maureen, his son, Harry “Glenn” Madison, III (Missy) of Mobile, AL; step-sons, Chris Byram and Mark Byram and step-daughter, Pam Byram Denham, all of Spanish Fort. Harry also leaves a beautiful legacy with his grandchildren, Matthew & Rebekah Madison and step-grandchildren, Hannah & Nicole Grace Denham. He also leaves his father, Harry Glenn Madison, Sr. and brother, Michael Madison (Timotea), both of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, a niece and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at East Pointe Baptist Church in Spanish Fort on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Walt Howard officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. A private burial service will follow. Family and friends are invited to the family home for fellowship from 5 – 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the East Pointe Baptist Church, 2012 Mission Trip, P. O.
