June 16, 1922 – April 7, 2008 In Loving Memory.
Frances Motzkus Wolfe, age 85, a life-long native of Birmingham, passed away in Fairhope, AL on Monday, April 7, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Arvel Wolfe; parents, Frank and Freida Motzkus; and sister, Katherine Abel.

She is survived by daughters, Shirley Smith (Watson) of Fairhope; Vicki Lynn Arnold (Michael) of Fairbanks, AK; and son, Frank Wolfe (Marilyn) of Birming-ham; granddaughters, Laura Gamard of Daphne and Molly Broders of Mobile; grandsons, Matthew and Daniel Arnold of Salt Lake City; Mark Arnold of Fairbanks; Jason and Jeff Wolfe of Birmingham; four great grandchildren, Caroline and Catherine Gamard and Hannah and Hampton Broders; and three sisters, Bertha Box, Peggy Hardin and Colleen Brazil of Birmingham. Mrs. Wolfe attended Woodlawn High School where she met her beloved husband. They enjoyed years of attending Woodlawn High alumni luncheons and parties. After his death in 2000, she became active in the monthly luncheons at the Liz Moore Visiion Center at Medical Center East. She was a former member of Lake Highland’s Methodist Church.

A graveside service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, Dr. Ryan Whitley of Crosspoint Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
