David Earl Yeager, 63, was born March 28, 1947 in Mobile, passed away November 2, 2010 in Fairhope, AL.
David had a love for the water and spent several years near the gulf with homes in Gulf Shores and most recently at Dauphin Island. He loved fishing and throwing his “net” and everything to do with the gulf waters.
David was preceded in death by his loving mother and father, Howard E. and Leila I. Yeager and by his beloved niece, Natalie Drennen Newman.
He is survived by his wife, Ronna L Field Yeager of Dauphin Island;
sons, David Neil Yeager (Wendy) and their daughter, Greenlee of Satsuma, AL and
Kyle Allen Yeager (Michele) and their children, Caleb and Emily of Woodstock, GA;
brother, Howard “Butch” Yeager (Irene) of Mobile; sister, Debra Newman (Dr. Donald Newman) Naples, FL. Also loving nieces and nephews, other relatives, dear friends in Atlanta, GA and Louisiana and his Publix Supermarket “family” of friends in Fairhope.
David was an Air Force veteran and graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile and received his B.S. in Business & Management from the University of South Alabama. He started his career in Mobile working as a retail buyer for Gayfers department store.
He worked for Nortitake China company for 29 years as account executive and sales representative, in the Midwest for 6 years and 23 years in Atlanta, with a few years in between as owner of his own construction company in Mobile.
After Noritake, he worked in Atlanta as a sales representative for Alexander Terry associates and for the last 4 years at Publix Supermarkets; cashier and customer service in Marietta , GA for 2 _ yrs and the last 1 _ years at the Fairhope store as a cashier, where he cherished all the friends he made there.
Visitation for friends will be at Hughes Cremation & Funeral Service on Friday, November 19 from 11-1 pm. A light meal will be served. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children
