Charles Rex Taylor, age 77, a resident of Spanish Fort, died Wednesday, January 23, 2007 at a local healthcare facility.
He was a member of the Eastern Shore Presbyterian Church and received his BSEd from Taylor University and his MEd from the University of Illinois. He had worked as a teacher and guidance counselor in Indiana and Alaska and retired from the State of Alaska, Office of Telecommunications.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Taylor; 2 sons, Scott (Michelle) Taylor of Spanish Fort and Mark (Ruth) Taylor of Villa Ridge, MO; 2 brothers, Max (Debra) Taylor of Howe, IN and Bob (Sheila) Taylor of Marion, IN and he has 5 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2007 at 10 AM at the Union Chapel Baptist Church in Marion, IN with burial in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion. Ferguson and Glancy Funeral Home of Van Buren, IN directing. The family suggest memorials be made to Gideons International or to Covenant Hospice.
