Anner Hill

Anne Rowe Acee Hill,62, of Fairhope, passed away on January 21, 2014.

Anne graduated from Gadsden High School in 1970, attended the University of Alabama, Converse College and Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. She was a talented artist, particularly excelling in clay sculpture. For the past twenty five years she lived in Baldwin County, AL. She is predeceased by her father, Wesley Winchell Acee, grandparents, Felix Coston Rowe and Dr. Mercer Rowe and sister, Nancy Jordan Gore.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Mary Coston Hill; her mother, Henrietta Rowe Jordan; three grandsons, Thomas Blake Coston Mixon, Kolt Ryzin Hill and Landon Jack Hill. Her siblings, Marie Acee, Juli Jordan, Kitty Jordan Barksdale, Mimi Jordan McGuire and Wes Acee; her dear friend of 25 years, Jose Alvarez. Those who have known Anne Rowe described her as having a sweet spirit and a kind soul.

A memorial service for Anne will be held at the Church of the Resurrection, Gadsden, AL on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 2:00pm, followed by a reception at the parish house. 

There will be a service with deposition of ashes in Baldwin County but that date and place is not yet determined and will be announced later.  Expressions of condolence may be made at hughesfh.com.  Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home & Crematory, 7951 American Way, Daphne, AL.
