In Loving Memory
May 8, 1965 – December 23, 2014
Amy Elizabeth Pounder passed away from us on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Amy’s life would seem too short for many, but those who were touched by her understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her bright smile and unique laugh, along with her glowing personality brought so much joy to our family and friends abroad.
She gave us all such inspiration and hope with her ongoing positive nature and reminded us of the precious purpose of life. As a mother, she provided her sons a great work ethic example and pushed them to understanding the responsibilities that each one of us must attain and uphold. As a wife, to Robert Pounder, Amy provided commitment and love through all of life’s turns. As a grandmother she was caring, nurturing and selfless in her love for life. As a sister, she was always supportive and protective of her ‘little’ brother in all of his endeavors with his own family and life achievements.
Amy is survived by her loving sons, Joshua, Christian Bradley and Nicholas Pounder of Mobile, AL; granddaughter, Brooklyn Pounder; brother, Andy Dean of Thomasville, AL; and partner, Jody Parks of Daphne, AL.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Coastal Church, 11101 County Road 64, Daphne, AL 36526. Expressions of condolence may be offered at www.hughesfh.com. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home and Crematory, 7951 American Way, Daphne, AL.
