In Loving Memory
July 21, 1940 – November 6, 2013
Albin Anthony Galich, Jr., 73, a resident of Daphne and native of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. He was a Veteran of the US Army and self employed as a residential and commercial contractor until he retired. Albin was a great singer and was a vocalist in Motown’s first white vocal group, The Rustix and also acted in two local movies, “Back Roads” in 1981 and “Under Siege” in 1992. He loved his family and his “furry kids”, Sid and Molly. Albin brought smiles to everyone he met and “we will miss your beautiful voice!”
He is survived by his loving wife, Gail N. Galich of Daphne; his son, Kevin (Wendy) Galich of Fairhope and his daughter, Kimberly (Tommy) Rachel of Magnolia Springs; his three grandchildren, Seth, Peyton, Blake and his wife, Maggie and his only great-grandchild, Caitlin.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, on Friday, November 8, 2013, at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, 900 Western America Dr, Mobile, AL 36609 or www.cancer.org in honor of Albin.
